Well, we all know living in the mountains
sometimes makes year round riding rough.  But
some brave the cold and get their fat, fuzzy
horses out there!  The Woodland Park Saddle
Club has regular trail rides at a variety of
locations throughout the year.  Sometimes the
ride culminates with a hot pot of chili and some
cocoa.  Sometimes it simply ends up in a long
group conversation about the goings on in the
world and how we would save it were we kings
and queens.  Either way, they are always great
rides.  For more trail ride information please
look at the current monthly newsletter or click
here for the
Trail Ride discussion board.

DANCES
Historically, dances have been a huge part of
the Woodland Park Saddle Club's history.  It
was at these dances that romances began, break
ups occurred, a few fist fights were had and
some wicked games of pool were played.
There were probably, at some point, fortunes
made or lost over that green, felt table.

The Saddle Club may hold some very special
event dances this year, but the lion's share of
energy and resources will be spent getting the
new facility constructed.  Of course there will
be a ribbon-cutting and gala event that might
last the whole weekend when we are ready to
open.  Please stayed turned and look forward
to dancing with your sweetheart (or somebody
else's) in the shadow of Pikes Peak, in Divide,
Colorado.

TRAIL RIDES, GYMKHANAS AND
OTHER HORSE EVENTS
BUSINESS EVENTS AND
MEETINGS
The Woodland Park Saddle Club Board
regularly meets in Woodland Park on the first
Thursday of every month.  The public is
welcome to attend.  A "heads up" you are
coming is appreciated so we can get out enough
chairs.  There are also three regular
membership meetings each year.  The
membership is HIGHLY encouraged to attend.
At times, special membership meetings will be
called, but the membership will be notified as
our bylaws require and again your attendance is
welcome and encouraged.
